Last Monday, Jigsaw’s automated WhatsApp solution won the ‘Research Live Award for Innovation of the Year’.

This award win is testament to an amazing 12 months since integrating WhatsApp with our in-house online research platform. From Gen Z to Baby Boomers, engagement with our WhatsApp research tool has been high across all generations. Our solution has worked incredibly well for researching multiple audience types, including consumers and B2B, as well as in different continents (Europe, Latin America and North America). We’ve also conducted research for clients in a range of industries, including technology, media, finance, sport and the public sector.

We think that one of the best things about our WhatsApp solution is that it’s a really great participant experience. Participants are important – and they deserve to have a good experience when they take part in research! It’s also important because WhatsApp feels less formal, more familiar and more intimate than traditional mobile platforms – with the messenger service being regularly used by around 2 billion people in over 170 countries worldwide. So participants typically give more authentic, media-rich answers and engage more deeply with the research we’re conducting.

Our innovation essentially changes the medium from research platform to social media application and enables us to conduct research where people naturally hang out.

Here’s what the judges had to say about our WhatsApp approach:

“It’s clear that participant experience has been put at the heart of Jigsaw Research’s WhatsApp research project. It’s scalability and accreditation, combined with its potential to make a meaningful impact by opening up conversations with introverts and hard-to-reach groups, secured the award this year.”

We’d like to extend a big thank you to all our wonderful clients who have championed our WhatsApp approach – we are so proud to win this award, and especially proud of the team behind our innovation!
